Outreach Programmes in Schools

By Shell South Africa on Jun 01, 2020

Shell is a passionate supporter of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. The skills of scientists, engineers, educators and leaders are essential to meeting the world’s demand for energy.

Shell’s STEM Outreach Programme seeks not only to inspire more young people to pursue careers in science and engineering, but to equip them with the skills that will prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow. Increasing digitalization and automation are changing the nature and mix of skills that young people will need to remain relevant today and in the future. They will need to be agile if they are to lead innovation, but also be able to adapt as technology advances. STEM is also fundamental to Shell’s business; we need to continue to attract and retain talented people with relevant STEM knowledge and skills as we strive to deliver cleaner energy.
